My name is Carol, a Costa Rican girl who once worked in corporate finance. For 15 years, my world was surrounded by numbers, income statements and forecasting processes, but deep down there was an adventurous spirit that always persisted.

One day I decided to change those financial meetings for travel experiences and that's when Sensational Escapes was born.

For me, traveling is not just about collecting stamps. It's about meeting people, learning about other cultures, hearing incredible stories, collecting memories and experiences that could also help other people on their travels.

The idea of ​​this started from my corporate days, when I was trying to help people through Google Maps local guide program, (I am level 6 and still helping there :). But with this blog I hope to reach more people and share more valuable information for everyone.
